Xtreme Memory Tori

PrismBreaker

Accel Trial Memory

Dopant Memory!

This comes with 25 sounds! WOW

Must get the dopant memory! hahaha looks pretty cheap

Heavy Rain

To buy or not to buy? Just played the demo and so far it looks and feels pretty epic. The demo was a bit slow but if the story is excellent it's worth it. The fight scene was cool, not just the standard QTE most games are using and the 4 main characters(a CSI druggie, asthmatic PI, emo father and some reporter chick) have interesting stories. I have been waiting for this game for ages and I really hope it doesn't disappoint.

Star Ocean 4 The Last Hope (International)

Star Ocean 4 = Star Trek + FF13

I'M SOLD!

Haha kidding, let's take a look in more depth shall we.

The game is relatively different than SO3 in terms of combat. With many new hinks and upgrades everywhere. This really made the combat look really neat and flash. It is also a uses a fast pace real-time battle system. Think Eternal Sonata + (insert fast action game here). But there is alot to pick up, leading to massive 1 hour long tutorial. So, this game also has tons of cut scenes, comparable to that of Metal Gear Solid 4. I seem to be referencing this game to many others out there haha. In any case, standard JRpg storyline, real-time action cool graphics. What more can you ask for? Oh oh, and there is dual language too yay! No stupid english dub for me.

Here is afew game play videos. (Ignore the lousy dubs)

Oh do check back on The White Knight Chronicle post again, added new gameplay footage.

S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Ixa

Recently, This new Figuarts was released and has easily became my favourite. Such detail and articulation is very much commendable.

From Bandai comes the Fangire hunter Kamen Rider IXA as a super-poseable S.H.Figuarts action figure! Standing 14.5cm tall, this sharply detailed figure of IXA has die-cast ankles, plus plenty of articulated joints to help him strike dynamic poses. He comes with two Ixa Caliburs (Calibur Mode and Gun Mode), interchangeable Save Mode head and Burst Mode head, Ixa Knuckle, and optional hands. A display base with flexible stand is also provided. Get two to display him in both Save and Burst Modes!

New "The Last Air Bender" Teaser

Looks good so far, let's not disappoint

All Riders VS Dai Shocker Movie

Ok so I just finished watching the recently subbed Decade movie and it was about as good as I expected. Its little over an hour so its pretty fast paced, which is kind of a waste since there are quite a lot of scenes that can be expanded upon but it was of course epic to see all the riders so far in a single film. It was satisfying but I'm more excited about the all riders vs decade movie.

I know this is not related but it reminds me of one of the bad guys in the movie

CKL

Hello, Please welcome my buddy CKL. He will be my Co-writer and post stupid random stuff as he sees fit

White Knight Chronicles

When I first heard of the game, I was very unsure whether to get it or not. After watching the game trailer, it didn't even helped in my decision at all. So eventually, I forgot about the game. Recently, the International Edition was launched and alot of reviews and stuff game out.

What I can say is that, it is an advant garde or you can say Next-gen MORPG for the PS3. White Knight Chronicles has heavy emphasis on a battle system which is very similar to that of Final Fantasy. In addition, it works like a standard mmorpg where you grind, level trade and stuff. A very common conception that people tend to have is thinking that it is a story-filled RPG (Like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, everything else). But the true fact is, it isn't. So what is it actually?

White Knight Chronicles plays very much like an MMO, even in the offline portion of the game, from the method of selecting targets to the lack of a true “pause” setting. These things may feel out of place and unnecessary if you aren't going to play the game online. The battle system is also very MMO-ish, and will feel nostalgic to people who have played Final Fantasy XI or XII. You can combine different attacks to unleash fancy looking combos, but they are expensive and there are few attacks that look any more exciting than a regular swing or two of your weapon, so players looking forward to over-the-top animations with amazing special effects will be disappointed. Monsters can walk through doors and hit you from very far distances, even though playable characters have specific ranges that they can attack from. These things are present in older MMORPGs, but in this game they are nuisances that could easily have been taken out.

The Online aspect of this game is going to be a love/hate. Starting from Guild Rank 7, you are almost required to go online since monsters become tremendously tougher than the final boss. Not only that, you may not bring any party members besides your created character into the offline quests. For those without internet connection to their PS3, you might consider a different RPG because this game will definitely not be worth your money.

That being said, there is little doubt that this game continues on MANY hours after you actually finish the story quest. In fact, it is more than likely that your story time is probably less than 1/10 of the game's life.

On the bright side, to play online is painless and seemless from the offline. When you buy quests from the guild, they appear on the world map. Selecting a quest gives 2 options, play by yourself, or play with someone else. Choosing the second option will automatically put you into network mode, and will search for a suitable game. If no games are found, the game will prompt you to create one where you can wait for others. Playing online allows you to party up with up to 4 other players to tackle a quest together.

The other way to play online, and the way to play with your buddies is via the games' GeoNet system. GeoNet is accessable at "Logic stones" (save points) or on the world map. On the initial log in, you'll be prompted to link your PSN account to the GeoNet service. There is NO CHARGE for GeoNet, which is a BIG plus. Once you are done with initial setup, you'll be brought to your profile page. The most important tabs are the "MyTown" tab and "Adventurer Diary" Tab.

"MyTown" Tab is basically the space where you can create rooms (lobby area like the hunting house before mission in MH, or lobbies in PSU) to meet with your buddy. From these lobby areas, there is a equipment shop with equipment that you won't find offline, as well as a general item shop. You can also create games/quest by talking to the guard at the billboard. Once you create a game, others can specifically join your game from talking to the same NPC in the same room.

If you don't have enough for 4 people in the lobby area, you can make your quest available for people that are playing online via auto-matching.

"Adventurer Diary" is basically a portal in which you can jump to other's profile page and other's "MyTown." This page is usually filled up with other's headline with what they are looking for, or what they are planning to do. One interesting note is that at the top of these headlines, there are always the official WKC staff's profile page, where it's usually filled up with people.

Sadly, there is no trading of equipment and synthesis material. Only things that can be traded are consumable items like potions and medicines (So much for trading).

So are you convinced to get it or not? A simple break down is this,

Buy it only if you have:
-Internet Connection for your ps3
-Love to play with others Online
-Do not mind short storyline
-Enjoy Many hours of after-game play
-Looking for high replayability

If any one of the above does not suit you, I highly suggest you reconsider buying it.

new game play footage! It look's like a really slow game though...

Overseas Visitors

I realised I'm getting a few returning overseas visitors. Is there by any chance anything you wish to see me blog about? thx!

Arthas- The Lich King

After lamenting over his death for the past few days, I took a walk down memory lane to enjoy the Warcraft lore. Without Arthas, Warcraft wouldn't be what it is today. He was the key factor to many conflicts and problems to the world of Azeroth, yet because of him the story develops. You can say he is a necessary evil. Many people simply know Arthas as the paladin who swayed fro mthe Light and became the Lich King. He slayed his own father with Frostmourne before he ascended into total madness. This is as much as the average people know. But in World of Warcraft, Arthas has recently been actively carrying out his plans to wash over the world with his Scourge. As defenders of Azeroth, we have to stop him and eventually kill him. I do not regret downing such an epic figure, but rather, I am upset over the outcome Arthas has received. In the end, nothing just was resolved, for there will always be a Lich King... Frostmourne hungers...

Let's take a look at the past trailers for the Lich King in remembrance to his death.

Warcraft III Frozen Throne Ending

If you don't play WoW. This is probably as far as you know. The birth of the Lich King. Truly Epic. But due tographic constraints at that time, the cgi isn't very good

Wrath of the Lich King Trailer

I have always loved this video, not only was the cgi rendered very well, the whole theme of paradox in comparision with King Terenas' speech and Arthas' actions were very well written. Must watch!

Fall of the Lich King Patch Trailer

This marks the beginning of his end. As the Argent Crusade marched in front of his door. War begins...

And of course, The end of the Lich King...
or is it?

You might be wondering, who the hell is Bolvar Fordragon? He wass the paladin leading the Alliance on the assult to the Citadel very much earlier on. I prefer to call the event "Hour of the Forsaken". Rings a bell? Hehehe, Watch on and find out.

Now all can see, this is the Hour of the Forsaken...
