Review: Sherlock Holmes

Pretty much the best movie I watched in 2009. There was actually a story and it's about Sherlock Holmes! What more can you ask for. Plus, we get to see kick ass action from the Duo. Pretty fascinating. And seeing Proffesor Moriarty, did he just pulled and Assassin's Creed? Nice contraption you have there. Oh, the soundtrack was awesome too if you are a fan of movie scores. Overall, i liked it best becaused of the British accent and environment.

Review: Darker than Black: Ryūsei no Gemini

Also known as Darker than Black Season 2 is one of the best anime this season. However, I'm once again recovering from WTF moments from the ending (Much like AC2). It's safe to say that, if you liked Season 1, it doesn't mean you will like Season 2. There is much much less action in this season. This season was supposed more of plot and character development. But at the series. I have no idea what they developed. Nothing much was solved or revealed, if not more confusing facts were added in. So this is the world of Darker than Black. Secrets are to rule of thumb. So, I'm pretty disappointed this season about this aspect. (For the whole year as a fact). Nonetheless, the series is still well made and animated, as expected from BONES Studios. But I felt like I was trolled so hard, as much as KyoAni did with Haruhi.

So, if you are one who likes action, intensity of fights tends to fluctuate up and down between episodes.

If you like character development, it has a good pace overall and can be enjoyable to see a little Hei x Suou chemistry.

If you are just biased and like Darker than Black as a whole, then, yea whatever BONES dish at us, you will like it.

Review: Assassin's Creed II

Yup, just finish the game. Combat was awesome, much better than the first game. There were many technique which made the first game look so linear. Nice story progression keeps the game fresh and interesting. Much Much more missions compared to the first game. You see I keep referring to the first game mainly because alot of people liked it. I myself liked the game alot. But if you think about it, we largely loved it because of the story. Sure the gameplay was fascinating at first, but it got rather stale as you go on. So, I was worried it might happen again this time round. Well, thankfully it did not. Awesome game is awesome. The story was intriguing as well but I'm currently still recovering from some WTF moments due to the ending. I do not fancy spoiling the story so i won't dwell into that. Oh, and thanks alot Perry for lending me this game. Saved me lots of money =)

To commemorate my victory over this game, i shall post the Prequel movie leading to the events of Assassin's Creed II

Review: Avatar

Well, props to the old man for taking about 15 years to make that damn movie. More props to him for using 500million dollars on the movie. Anyway, general run down of the movie. It wasn't as good as what i expected it to be. The story was kinda linear. But the CGI was A-MA-ZING. you can clearly see why production took so long and so much money. Once again, watch it for the CGI at the very least.

3/5 without CGI
4.5/5 with CGI

=D

Wonderful weekend

Went out with the guys yesterday for some fun time. Actually, we planned to meet earlier for breakfast, but some Dashimaro came late, so we went for lunch instead. We decided to watch Avatar, but the earliest at Cathay was 6.30 PM. Plenty of time to dick around. Sooooo, we went to the arcade. Tekken 6, and the new Bishi Bashi machine!! So, after all the arcade jizz, we realised we still had 2 hours. Sooooo, we went to Paradiz to play more arcade!!!! But like halfway, the whole building blacked out. Dashimaro was actually playing on some old 50 cents tennis game. Best part was he actually already lost, but he decided to ask for extra credit after the blackout. Best part was, this guy scammed the uncle saying he was playing on the $1.50 machine!!!! Cheap bastard. But thats not all, somehow, the uncle gave him 3 credits!!!!!!!!! So the bottom line was, he paid $0.50, for $4.50 worth of credits. WOohooo. So anyway, we went to watch Avatar shortly after. I'll do a quick review on it later.

HAHAHAHAHA

According to series star Stephen Lunsford on Twitter and confirmed by Steve Wang, The CW has officially canceled Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, after the 38th episode airs. As Dragon Knight is a 40 episode series, this officially leaves the last two episodes unaired.

Additionally, this makes 2010 the first year without any American adaptations of Tokusatsu since 1992.

He specializes in custom works such as Kamen Rider Suits and Helmets, figures and other movie unique stuff. It is safe to say his shop is unique in Singapore. MST Week

Hi guys, didn't post for quite awhile. Starting tomorrow would be my exams prolonging till Friday. After that im free for the year! Hurray!

6 DAYS TO THE NEW KAMEN RIDER DECADE & W MOVIE

Sypnosis-

The official title for the final movie of the infamous series Kamen Rider Decade has been revealed together with the title for the movie of Kamen Rider Double. The title for the final movie of Kamen Rider Decade is Kamen Rider Decade ~Kanketsuhen~. The timeline for this movie is, of course, after the final episode of the TV series. Rider Taisen or Rider Big War had already happened and both Tsukasa and Yuusuke have disappeared from Natsumi’s sight. Kaitou Daiki then appeared in front of Natsumi and she began a new journey to find Tsukasa and Yuusuke.

The world they were going to visit was being symbolized by the background roll of Earth. On the other hand, Tsukasa met another heroine on his journey. Her name was Misaki Yuriko. She had the ability to transform into Denpa Ningen Tackle (I think most of the fans of this franchise will immediately realize that she was a character appeared in the series Kamen Rider Stronger back in 1975). Yuriko said that she was happy because she could stay right next Tsukasa but she also had a secret…

A new evil organization, Super Shocker, will become Decade’s enemy. Super Shocker itself was being formed by Super Shinigami-hakase. Surprisingly, Narutaki was also an executive from this evil organization. His true form was Zol-taisa (from the original Kamen Rider series). Some of the monsters which will appear in this movie are: Zanjiou, Jaguar-man , Doku-tokage Otoko, and Hiruchameleon. There will also be a female monster, Hachi-onna, which will be portrayed by Oikawa Nao. Super Shinigami-hakase himself created the strongest kaijin, Neo Seimeitai Doras, to fight Decade.

As expected, after using Kivaara’s power, Natsumi finally transformed into Kamen Rider Kivaara to stop Decade from destroying the worlds. Ah, seems like a new card, All Rider Final Form Ride is going to be used in this movie.

The scenario for this movie is written by script-writer Yonemura Shoji who also wrote the scenario for the first movie of Decade. On the other hand, the scenario for the movie Kamen Rider W ~Begin’s Night~ is written by the main script-writer for the TV series, Sanjo Riku. The theme song for this movie of Decade is once again performed by Gackt. The title is Stay the Decade Alive.

The day when everything began.

This movie can be considered as Episode Zero for the series Kamen Rider Double because all events related to the night when Double was born will all be revealed here. That's why this movie has the title BEGIN'S NIGHT (which is a grammatical error for me).

The setting prepared for this movie is the days when the city Fuuto is preparing itself to celebrate Christmas. Just when people have their hands full with the preparation of Christmas, an urban legend appears. It is said that the dead people are coming back from death and this urban legend has already become a rumor in Fuuto.

A client came to Narumi Detective Office and says that she met her sister whom had already passed away. Hidari Shotarou immediately begins his investigation on this case. During his investigation, he meets an unexpected person. That person is the former chief of Narumi Detective Office, Narumi Soukichi, who was supposed to be killed on the Begin's Night!

GUESTS:
The character Narumi Soukichi is played by actor Kikkawa Kouji who sang the theme song for the movie of Kamen Rider Kabuto back in 2006. Another guest actress is Sawai Miyu appeared back in 2003-2004 as Tsukino Usagi / Sailor Moon in the series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.
